In conjunction with National Financial Literacy Day (NFLD) 2026, Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) will hold a three-day event comprising a Financial Awareness Roadshow and Financial Talks from Wednesday, 2 September 2026 to Friday, 4 September 2026. Under the theme "Smart Money Habits, Stronger Financial Well-Being", the event aims to encourage responsible money habits and improve access to financial knowledge.
NFLD is an annual event organised by BDCB since 2015, with the support of the National Financial Literacy Council (NFLC), relevant government agencies and the financial industry. It aims to enhance financial literacy in Brunei Darussalam by promoting smart money management and increasing public awareness of financial products and services available in the country. This reflects a shared commitment to empowering individuals and communities across Brunei Darussalam to make informed financial decisions and achieve greater financial well-being.
Members of the public are invited to visit the Financial Awareness Roadshow, which will be held according to the following schedule:
FINANCIAL AWARENESS ROADSHOW [OPEN TO THE PUBLIC] | ||

Through interactive booths, financial activities and consultation sessions, members of the public will have the opportunity to engage directly with participating organisations and gain practical information and guidance to make more informed financial decisions. Visitors can learn how to better manage their finances, understand their rights and responsibilities as financial consumers, explore takaful, insurance, savings and investment options, use digital payments safely, and protect themselves against financial scams. MSME owners and entrepreneurs can also learn ways to support their businesses' financial management.
Alongside the Roadshow, BDCB will also organise Financial Talks for invited participants from government agencies, government-linked companies and higher education institutions. The talks will cover two key topics. Achieving Financial Freedom will provide practical guidance on saving, spending, debt management, long-term financial planning, takaful and insurance, and investments. Digital Scams Awareness will highlight emerging scam tactics and practical ways to stay protected in an increasingly digital financial environment. The sessions will be supported by Cyber Security Brunei (CSB) and the Financial Planning Association of Brunei Darussalam (FPAB).
