Window Security Thread - Reflection
Security thread can be seen as rectangles with 'NBD 100' or 'NBD 500' which forms a dotted line on the surface, and a solid line when viewed against light.
Front to Back Registration
Motifs are printed on the front and back of the backnote. The motif on the front and back aligns when the banknote is held up against the light.
Watermark Transmission
Watermark portrait of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is present on the banknote.
Window Security Thread - Transmission
Security thread can be seen as a solid line when the banknote is raised against the light.
Fluoresence Feature Under UV Light
Brunei Darussalam's National Crest can be seen when the banknote is viewed under UV light.

Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque and the ceremonial barge form the complex clear window design incorporating a shadow image and vignette of '1' numeral.
2. G-Switch Feature
Dynamic optical feature alternates between gold and blue when viewed at varying angles.
3. Shadow Image
Features His Majesty's portrait. Initials "HB" and a section of the mosque will appear when the banknote is raised to the light.
4. See Through Feature
A flower design is formed through the combination of front and back printing in perfect registration when the note is held up to the light.
5. Offset
Complex fine line background in rainbow print with fluorescing elements illuminate under ultraviolet light.
6. Intaglio
