As part of Brunei Darussalam Central Bank’s (BDCB) ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, it donated a range of information technology (IT) equipment to Politeknik Brunei and Sungai Tali Primary School, Lumut.

The donation, comprising repurposed servers, network devices, and desktop units, aims to support hands-on learning and enhance digital literacy programmes at both institutions.

The first handover ceremony was held at Politeknik Brunei, Ong Sum Ping Campus, on 13 October 2025, where BDCB was represented by Yang Mulia Hajah Sufinah binti Haji Sahat, Assistant Managing Director (Corporate Development). A second ceremony followed on 10 November 2025 at Sungai Tali Primary School, represented by Yang Mulia Haji Muhd Shukri bin Haji Ahmad, Executive Director of Syariah Finance, as CSR Chairman of BDCB.

This initiative underscores BDCB’s commitment to sustainability through responsible IT asset repurposing – extending their lifespan and reducing electronic waste, thereby supporting the country’s circular economy and sustainability goals. It also complements Wawasan Brunei 2035 by fostering digital readiness, capacity building, and skills development to nurture a knowledgeable, innovation-driven, and sustainable society.

Through such efforts, BDCB actively promotes community development, fosters educational advancement, and supports sustainable industry practices that empower future generations and contribute to Brunei Darussalam’s socio-economic progress.
