The Ministry of Finance and Economy would to inform the public that the article published on the
website www.capital-brain-ai.pro, titled “Brunei Darussalam government launches government
bond platform” and dated 6 October 2025, is false. The public is strongly advised to exercise
caution and not to easily trust such articles without first verifying the authenticity of the information.
The act of cheating by impersonation is punishable under Section 419 of the Penal Code, Chapter 22 and carries a penalty of imprisonment for a term not exceeding 7 years and fine, upon
conviction. In addition, disseminating false information that can likely cause public alarm is a
criminal offence under Section 34 of the Public Order Act, Chapter 148, that carries a penalty of a
fine of B$3,000 or 3 years imprisonment or both.

(BDCB) Financial Consumer Issues at +673 8380007/fci@bdcb.gov.bn, and the Anti-Scam
Helpline at 16993. If you have fallen victim to a scam, you are advised to immediately report it to
your bank or financial institution, as well as to the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) at the nearest
